I went on my 2nd field trip with my class on May 8, 2012 to the Children's Museum of Illinois (or Decatur) and the Scovill Zoo. First stop: Children's Museum! I went in my car while my class went in the school bus. At the museum, I stood outside while mommy took photos of me. Then my class came. There was a lady that told us all the rules and told us some things of what was in the museum. My friends and I went inside. There was so much to do! My friends and I couldn't decide what we would do first. I suggested we should make bubbles first. So we went to the Bubble Room. In the Bubble room, you could make big bubbles! I wasn't too good at making them, though. Whenever there was a good bubble, I tried to get a picture. I only got this one, which is of my friend Evie standing behind a bubble she made.
. Next, I tried the gigantic climbing structure that went through a hole in the ceiling. But I got scared and went down. The climbing structure started at the first floor, went through a hole in the ceiling, up to the second floor and up to the very top. After that, I went to the painting glass room. In there, there was blue, white, and yellow paint. I painted a realistic eye with a highlight. Here's a photo of it:
Then, my friends and I went to the water activities! We made a water maze. My friend Macy had found a toy whale, so she let it float in the water like I did with a toy boat and a rubber duck. We had a competition to see whose toy would find its way through our maze first. But we never finished. Soon my friend Evie appeared again, and we transformed our maze into one big pool. Here's a picture of us making it:
After we're done making the pool, we hear a whistle. Time to go upstairs! Upstairs, there's plenty more to do. I headed straight for a two-wheeler bike with a skeleton on it. Then, my new friend named Mr. Skeleton and I started riding together on our two-wheeler!
I see an airplane. But it looks too crowded. I walk over to a house. I cannot open the door. Then I see where you go in. I saw a box that said : Can you guess what ball is in here by feeling? These are the ones I got right: Football, basketball, and softball. I guessed 3/4 balls correctly. I walked on and saw xylophones, a (Till' the cows come home game) To play, you put a ball into a hole and it goes down a maze. It bumps into bells and rings as it rolls. There was also a plasma ball. It was cool. Here's a picture of it:
Later on, I did plenty of other things. I went in the crowded airplane, drove a fake ambulance, and did other things. Before we leave, here's a photo of me and 2 of my friends.
Next stop: Scovill Zoo! When you come in, there is a playground we played in. Walking onto the playground, there is a thing that you stand on, but hold on! When somebody pushes it, round, round, and round you go! There was also this bridge-thing that has holes in it that you hold onto. Then you climb the bridge-thing to the other side! There are plastic rocks you can climb too! There are swings, a platform with a spring at the bottom, and a plenty of space to play hotel or house! There was a merry-go-round , so some people spent time deciding which animal they liked. Then we hear a whistle. Time to enter the zoo!
This is a picture of the opening gate. In the zoo, the first two things we saw were a bird that looked like a small owl, and a cute red panda. Then we saw alligators, prairie dogs, and meerkats! Later on, we saw camels, a zebra, cheetahs, flamingos, pelicans, barn owls, a red-tailed hawk, a turkey vulture, a toucan, and black spider monkeys! We went into the reptile house, where lizards and other reptiles were. If you read my "Strange Salamander" blog, they had one of those lizards! There were snakes, turtles, and even a blue-tongued skink! My favorite part of the animal exhibits was the petting zoo. There, there were goats to pet. Here's a picture of me and a goat:
Now, there was this one goat I liked the most. He was small and black, the size of a baby goat. At first, he didn't like me, until I got distracted from him and petted this goat in the picture above instead. Soon, I went to him again and petted him until a boy from my class came and said: "Run around and he'll jump!" So I did, and the little goat jumped and followed me! I played with him so much he loved me! I knew because he tried to follow me out of the petting zoo! Here's a picture of him:
Then, we washed our hands and went on a train ride. It was fun. My friends and I sat in the second seat behind the speaker, so when the train driver spoke to us, it was pretty loud. After that, we rode the merry-go-round. I rode the giant panda. After the zoo was done, we had lunch by the Children's Museum. We left after the school bus left, so I was lucky. I got to play with Whisper Dishes!
My mom and I had a chat with these. It was cool. We got to whisper into the little hole in the middle. Amazingly, we could still hear each other clearly! I think the sound travels through the hole and into those three metal tubes that hold the hole, then through a pipe in the ground, and out the other hole! Well, the field trip has ended, time to go home now, so good-bye!

God's Art Museum
Imagine you are an artist. You pick up a paintbrush and start painting a picture. That is what God did when he made the world. He painted the sun, the moon, the solar system, earth, plants, water, sky, bugs, clouds, animals, fish, birds, and people. He painted everything in his image, like an artist. If you don't think of it as painting, try thinking of it as sculpting. Whenever you look at something or someone you love, thank God for him/her/it.

I played in the Honors Recital and Scholarship Awards Ceremony on April 29, 2012, or 4/29/12. I played Bourre by G.F Handel. I made a mistake. I have an example for it: It was like putting a wrong puzzle piece into a puzzle picture, then taking it off, then putting the right one in. I tried my hardest, just like I should've done. Even though I made a mistake, I still did a good job.
This is how I looked sitting down. I wore my Easter dress (as you may have noticed if you read my Easter blog.) I also had lip gloss (You can't see it very well.) Mommy said I look cute holding my violin! This recital wasn't very hard. My mommy took a video of me playing, and she was listening to it the whole day! After the recital, awards were being given out. I got an Honorable Mention certifacate! This recital was fun. There was music I liked, and I liked playing for people too!
That's enough for now, so bye for now!

I saw Wiley and the Hairy Man on 4-20-12, or April 20, 2012. My favorite actor was Wiley because he outsmarted the Hairy Man by himself when he thought he couldn't. This story teaches us that when trying something new, always believe in yourself. There is courage inside you. You just have to find it! My favorite parts were when Wiley made the room turn into a snowglobe and white lights were circling the room, when the Hairy Man came out of the bag to trick Wiley and his mother, and when Wiley defeated the Hairy Man. I liked the play a lot. The actors and actresses did a very good job preforming. I liked the wind effects when the Hairy Man tried to blow Wiley out of the tree. Wiley outsmarted the Hairy Man by turning the tree trunk into rubber when he was going to chop down the tree to get Wiley down. He also outsmarted the Hairy Man by making the snakes become his friends. At the end of the play, I got interviewed for it! Wiley and the Hairy Man was a very good play. I enjoyed it very much.

1-2-3- Let the egg hunt begin! This Easter I had a fun egg hunt, kite and streamer playtime, Easter Bunny presents, and bubble blowing! First we woke up, and I went and saw a kitty bag and the note I had left for the Easter Bunny yesterday. It was flipped upside down and the Easter Bunny signed it on the other side with a paw print. I untied the bow on the kitty bag and saw a bird book, a streamer and a Hello Kitty Easter kit. I ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, changed into my Easter dress, and put on a pearl necklace.(look for it in the picture!) Next I went outside and mom took pictures of me. This is one of them. Then we went to our neighbor's house, and their dog chased me back home. I came back a minute later when the dog was inside. Their 2-year-old boy Edward (who likes me and I like him) played Easter games with us! Then we had the egg hunt.
Ms. Lindsey, Edward's mom, put on rabbit ears and hid hard-boiled eggs.(they were painted in pretty designs)This is Edward and I finding the eggs! Edward has spotted an egg and is running for it, and Ms. Lindsey gave me a hint of where to find an egg that Edward couldn't reach, so I'm going to find it on the fence! After we found all the hard-boiled eggs, I hid three eggs that belonged to me for Edward to find to improve his (egg-finding) skills. After he found all three eggs, I hid ten eggs that belonged to me for both of us to find. One of the eggs had candy inside it.
I found the egg with the candy. Still, Edward sits down next to me and we share the Skittles inside it. Can you see the Skittles in my hand? I'm reaching in to give one to Edward because he's pointing at them in the picture. Edward cracks one of his hard-boiled eggs.We had fun, but we are tired from playing today. Time for a candy break! All of a sudden, a gust of wind heads our way and soon the eggs are rolling away! When they fall off the deck and land in the grass, Edward and I pick them up. Our candy break is over! Ms. Lindsey hides an egg that makes noise. I find it, but mom and Ms. Lindsey tell me to put it in Edward's basket. I do. Then we eat the hard-boiled egg that Edward cracked. I don't like it.
Egg hunt is over! I get my bubbles and the streamer I got from the Easter Bunny. Mr. Lee (Edward's dad) brings out his kite from the Easter Bunny. I fly it while Edward plays with bubbles. Now you better have good eyes to answer this question! In the picture above, can you see the popping bubble? Please comment if you see it. Simon is a little boy who lives across the street from Edward. He came over to play with us.
That's enough for now, so goodbye!

I went to Chicago and stayed in my Auntie Diana's house! My mom had an art show. She sold 3 /4 of her paintings! I went to the planetarium. I saw a movie called Undiscovered Worlds. Did you know that EXO planets circle a star (That is NOT the sun) in outer space? It's similar to our solar system. People like astronauts and scientists are trying to find out if there is life on EXO planets.
Look! Do you see astronaut Noel Chi landing on the moon? Here's a fun activity that I did: Blast a rocket! You see, you have to put a paper rocket on a balloon and let go of the end of the balloon and watch the rocket go up and hit the "moon"! We have a video of that first try when we didn't make it to the moon:(. Don't worry, we made it on our second try.
3-2-1- BLAST-OFF! I was an astronaut and blasted a rocket into space on a video game that you sit down and press some buttons, go into space, then use the joystick to steer your ship! Then I went on the moon. Here's a photo of me in the moon! I'm in crater 2. Next I jumped into a fake car and drove around! I didn't get into a car crash :). We saw the gift shop too! We saw colored oil in a little "maze" container and it was much more fun than a lava lamp! I touched a plasma ball! We saw spaceship snowglobes and flashy nametags. There were only Nicole and Nicholas for the "N" names :(. I liked the "Mom's Taxi" one. I laughed when I saw the "Teacher" one. I should wear it because I teach the neighbor's 2-year old boy. I taught him how to make a circle, green, and orange! Mom took a picture of me in a space backpack!
That's all for now!

These are my friends! Evie, (left of me) Macy, (right of me) and Anna (right of Macy). Anna and Evie are fast runners, while Macy and I aren't so fast. Evie and Anna work together to train Macy and I to be fast. We meet every day at recess. Evie and Anna give us workouts such as light warm-ups, practice laps, races, running lines, and stretching. Sometimes they get together for "coach talk" while Macy and I do running lines. We have been training for two or three days now, and if we miss a day of training, we can't be trained anymore (unless we were sick or something)
Fast Fact:
Want to learn more about the training team? Contact me on FaceBook or my Blog, whatever is easier for you.
Bye, Noel

This is a real animal! If you saw my profile picture on Facebook, you would've seen this already. Now, you know that salamanders can regrow their tails. But let's say that they could regrow their legs too! Well, this one can regrow both! (look above to see actual fact) If you want to look up where I found it, look for the book Weird but True Extreme. Want to find the book? Barnes and Noble in Champaign has it in the kids section. Go one page after the other. You'll find this picture. In the book you can learn MORE about this strange animal!
So, I hope you've met the salamander and had a good time.
Bye for now,
Noel

While I sit at a restraunt,
I am thinking to write a poem
I look down at my water with ice floating in it
And think of this:
An icy crackle
Leads the way
To the water
Cold by day
And when the sun
Comes out to play
Goodbye ice
Go away!
