Introduce yourself

Sure enough, the beautiful weather  is gone.  We are having a grey and chilly Saturday.  No idea where we could go, we spent our early afternoon in Noel's room playing. 
What am I going to do with the long and upcoming winter months???

I drew myself painting and Noel drew herself riding Big Thomas train (ah, she still remembers)  But as soon as she saw my drawing, she hurry and drew herself drawing in front of an easel too - copy cat!

recent homework

While she still thinks homework is "fun", I better push more.  One of the reasons you don't see the little violinist playing recently, is that she no longer thinks playing violin is fun.  Tonight when I nicely asked her to play (even try to bribe her with candy) she answered : " I want to play something easy, and violin is hard...."

Not getting the concept of 1/2, nor 1/4...it's okay, I am being too ambitious here.  But she does get the idea of "mirror-images of 1/2 and 1/2"
An expert of transferring from "mama letters" (uppercase) to the "baby letters" (lowercase) and vice versa!

Very busy week

A very busy week.... more later.... and yeah, Noel can tell time now - just the hours!

just homework!

Noel loves her Thomas books.  One particular one her auntie Judith gave her,  it's the story of James(the red engine) got stunk by a bee on the nose.... For some weird reason, Noel loves it and often runs around buzzing all over the house,  she will then land her fingers on my nose and wants me to say OUCH, bad bee!

I try to create "homework" that interests her, at 3, you really cannot expect too much, so she missed some letters, no big deal.  Again she left mama some drawings too, try and see if you can find a bee?? 

Did I mention that she is doing math as well?

new semester

Thank God it's Friday! 

First week of school, first time teaching in our brand new fine art building.... well, sounds fancy, but really it's pretty stressful, on top of it, Noel got a nasty cold....

30 minutes now into Friday, I am hoping for a healthy and peaceful weekend.

Speaking of new semester, I started to "assign" homework, not just to my students, to ha, my daughter.  On the first day of school, I wrote a few words (starting with Noel's favorite trains of course) and told  our babysitter to oversee Noel's homework assignments.   Not knowing how Noel will think of this, I told the sitter not to force it if Noel refuse to do it.

My little girl not only did her writing, she drew pictures to go with it too.  I was so pleased and proud of her... better assign more, while she still thinks homework is FUN.
