HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO ALL!

So, it's Chinese New Year. No celebration for us since there are no family members around, we made a few phone calls last night and were missing home terribly. Today, I dressed Noel in her traditional outfit and tried to get a bit of the "New Year Joy" around the house. The funny thing is, when we were growing up in Taiwan, no kids around wore outfits like this, but I guess being so far away from home and living in the western culture, people do think "tradition" is something worth keeping.
Okay, so we carried on just another day... violin lesson first....
...and having a treat with Ms. Terry for doing such a great job!

...living in a small town, and nowhere to go, we often pack our lunch, eat it at mama's studio, while we were there, we play with play doh and paint!

Noel asked mama to sculpt a "Harold." He is a helicopter in "Thomas the tank engine", a very helpful guy! After the art lessons, we were off to Tarble Art Center to see some paintings, while we were there, guess what we saw.....
